The role will play a vital part in ensuring that the CFA operates efficiently and effectively to meet future challenges and the needs of our dedicated volunteers and community. As the Project Manager - Operating Model, you will be motivated and highly skilled being responsible for supporting the implementation of CFA's Operating Model. Working under the guidance of the Program Manager, Operating Model, you will lead and collaborate with the Operating Model Project team to develop, implement, and evaluate the activities outlined in the attached project scope.
Key responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of the project, ensuring timely delivery of project outcomes, within or below budget, and to the satisfaction of the Program Manager, Senior Responsible Owner, and relevant stakeholders
2. Implement and adhere to the CFA Project Management Framework, including the preparation of project briefs, plans, and schedules, as well as maintaining issues and risk registers
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve project-related challenges, fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork
4. Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle
About You:
The ideal candidate for this role will have proven experience as a Project Manager, particularly in managing complex projects involving organisational change. They should possess a strong knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills are crucial, as these roles will see you be required to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups. The candidate should also demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing project needs. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the capacity to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Additionally, the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is important. Previous experience in the public sector or emergency services is highly desirable.
