About The Role
Are you passionate about driving organisational change? Merri-Bek City Council is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Transformation Change Lead. In this specialty and critical role, you will report to our Learning and Development Transformation Lead. Your expertise will be required to lead the change portfolio, and design and implement activities for staff on the changes the program is enabling. This role plays a key part in guiding the identification and management of risks highlighted by the change strategy. By collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will assist in defining the transformation program’s strategic objectives, implementing the change strategy, developing a change framework and practice across Council ensuring alignment with Councils strategic objectives.

Skills And Experience Required To Perform The Role
o Ability to think strategically and understand Council and program aims and translate them into clear strategic objectives for the transformation program.
o Experience in customer and digital transformation programs previously.
o Demonstrable specialised experience in planning and executing change management plans.
o Results driven with an ability to achieve measurable outcomes and drive continuous improvement in change management activities and plans to ensure the success of the transformation program.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation including facilitation and presentation skills.
o Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their co-operation and support for the transformation program.
o Experience in agile project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor activities related to change management within the transformation program.
o Capability to work with cross-functional teams with the ability to gain cooperation in working towards common goals, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
