Add expected salary to your profile for insights.Groundwater Engineer/Hydrogeologist Employee-owned consulting company providing specialist expertise across geotechnical, pavements, groundwater, and dewatering.Projects include major civil infrastructure/construction such as alliance and JV projects with deep underground tunnelling infrastructure, wind farm developments, mining/resources, as well as mid to high-rise building construction with deep excavations and basements/foundations.They have over 100 staff across 3 offices, with Melbourne being their largest office at 50 staff.Duties:General groundwater interpretationDewatering assessments including assessment of dewatering requirements, dewatering system design, basic groundwater quality assessment, and regulatory requirementsFieldwork exposure to well installation, setup and deployment of transducers, hydraulic testing, and water quality samplingPreparation and interpretation of hydrographs and Design Groundwater Levels (DGWL)Well design for different applicationsAquifer test design and interpretation (e.g.using AQTESOLV)Infiltration testingGroundwater modelling (e.g.using Visual MODFLOW and/or SEEPW), including basic skills in utilizing ArcGIS for model preparationPerforming desk, field, and laboratory studies for groundwater and dewatering investigations relating primarily to civil engineering construction worksCoordinating and organising field investigation works including liaison with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholdersCarrying out fieldwork to install groundwater monitoring wells, measure groundwater levels, carry out infiltration and hydraulic conductivity tests, and collect Acid Sulfate Soils (ASS) and groundwater samplesAnalysing field data including groundwater level measurements, infiltration data, hydraulic conductivity tests to derive design parameters and groundwater quality laboratory test resultsPreparing design groundwater level assessments based on collected data and historical informationCarrying out groundwater seepage and dewatering assessment analysis in 2D and 3D using computer modelling softwarePreparing dewatering management plans and ASS management plans for civil engineering construction worksPreparing engineering reports under the guidance of experienced senior professionalsUndertaking geotechnical investigations, assessments, and reporting where requiredProviding safety leadership in identifying and alleviating/eliminating high-priority safety hazardsParticipating in training activities, mentoring, and transferring knowledge to other engineers within the companySupervising, coordinating, and reviewing activities carried out by junior staffRequires: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, a related Science, or equivalent as a minimum, with primary skills and experience in one or more of the following: Geotechnical Engineering, Hydrogeology, Groundwater Engineering ideally related to the civil construction and infrastructure industry.Vicky Dickerson0433962192Principal Consultant****** #J-18808-Ljbffr
