Overview
You will provide person-centred care within the Emergency Department at the Southern Fleurieu Health Service. Providing evidence-based care to patients, you will recognise and respond to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalate them appropriately to the responsible healthcare professionals. Within this role you will be responsible for developing your clinical skills whilst keeping up to date with professional standards of nursing practice. Southern Fleurieu Health Service provides a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services to patients from across the Fleurieu Peninsula and surrounding communities. Our hospital provides 24-hour emergency care and acute inpatient medical and surgical services. You will need to be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. This will be supported by experience in the provision of nursing care in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. Effective verbal and written communication skills will be essential, along with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment. You will bring the ability to prioritise workload, recognise and report changes in clinical condition, and provide person-centred care in a culturally appropriate manner.
