This role identifies, researches, evaluates, and selects suppliers that meet the organisation's standards of price, quality, timing and reliability of supply. The incumbent will act as SME in procurement area and may coach junior buyers; and also provide leadership, operational, analytical and administrative support to the business to enable JCI to execute its strategy and meet commercial and governance requirements.About the role:Sets operational objectives and delivers results that have a direct to significant impact on achievement of results with the job area or within the context of a wider operational area.Often uses influence to convince both internal/external parties that share a common desire to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches and infrequently negotiates with a common desire to reach agreement on complete proposals/programs.Regularly corrects or resolves issues or problems in existing systems and processes. Makes necessary changes. Often adapts or enhances quality or value in existing methods; makes better as part of day-to-day activities.Issues and manages RFQ process in line with JCI and its customer's requirements, and identifies, recommends best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements.Reviews and evaluates RFQ responses for compliance with JCI requirements.Negotiates and manages long term pricing agreements on critical Security System, HVAC, Refrigeration, BMS subcontract works.Proactively engages with business to identify their needs.Completes purchase requests with local and international suppliers expediting deliveries and verifying.Acts as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related issues.Monitors supplier performance by ensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications; maintains appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensure company requirements are met and that supplier is aware of their performance.Controls and improves the traceability and transparency of purchasing related savings.Meets or exceeds profit plan goals related to: Cost Savings, TWC, quality, supplier rationalization, and other agreed objectives.Owns the vendor registration/onboarding process for required JCI entities, maintenance and periodic supplier performance evaluation and necessary follow up actions.Handles correspondence concerning order discrepancies, delivery, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and reports such changes to the involved parties in a timely manner as required.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing professional publications.What we look for:Bachelor's degree in business or engineering, Materials Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.8+ years of related procurement experience including purchasing, inventory control, contracts.Negotiation, supply management, supplier relationships, basics of Accounting, and tracking budget expenses.Work experience in a Technology, Construction or FM environment beneficial.Working knowledge of the legal aspects of procurement and contract law.Effective proven written and oral communication skills.Attention to detail.Ability to work autonomously and think outside the square.Results focused.Flexible and adaptable.Proven Microsoft suite skills.If you are interested in the role, please click the apply now below.Feel free to reach out to me on for a confidential chat (Amy).
