Program Manager, Global Logistics
Ambitious and results-driven Program Manager sought to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence across multiple verticals. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive project management experience, combined with deep analytical capabilities and a keen sense of innovation, to lead complex projects from conception to completion.
The role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead carrier procurement and contract negotiations for ocean, air, and ground transportation across APAC region
* Develop and execute carrier strategy to support business growth and operational excellence
* Monitor and analyze carrier performance metrics, including cost, transit time, and service levels
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives with carriers to enhance network efficiency
* Manage quarterly/annual RFQ processes and strategic bid events
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key carriers and internal stakeholders
* Manage invoice payment and cost control
* Lead data-driven analysis to identify cost savings opportunities and service improvements
* Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions
* Collaborate with global teams to align regional and global carrier strategies
* Provide regular reporting on carrier performance and market conditions

We are seeking a Program Manager in Sydney, Australia to join our GL Japan & Emerging Country (JP&EC) team. This individual will be instrumental in refining the cost, speed, and quality of multiple sourced programs and managing Destination Operations in Japan.
