Summary
My client is a leading Manufacturing company located in Western Sydney (near Blacktown).
Working closely with the Head of Finance and partnering with the other senior leaders, this role will play a key part in building on a very productive and knowledge-rich finance function.
The position undertakes the full range of financial activities including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, systems development, and asset control to ensure the effective and efficient achievement of each business's vision.
Requirements:
Flexibility in working hours – the functional cycle has peaks during the month/year.
Demonstrable time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities on a simultaneous basis and potentially under stress.
Provide day-to-day management of the financial accounting function including supervision of the financial accounting team to ensure timely and accurate compilation of month-end results and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
Systems
Support the delivery of ERP System level 1 Finance support to Franchisees.
Support ERP Finance training for Franchisees, as required.
Financial Reporting and Compliance
Manage the completion of all statutory/regulatory reporting to deadlines, relating to:
Annual Financial Reports
ASIC
ATO (Income tax, GST, FBT, PAYG)
State taxes (Payroll tax)
Complete monthly KPI reporting including analysis and reporting on variances to budget and forecast including value add commentary.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Own the annual budget templates for Franchisees.
Coordinate with the Manager – FP&A to implement and manage an accurate and timely annual budget process.
Accounts Payable
Oversee Accounts Payable function to ensure suppliers are paid within limits, including approval/release of online payments.
Payroll
Manage the delivery of accurate payroll service for Group companies and Franchisees.
Continuously improve and simplify payroll services to realise efficiencies.
People Management
Recruitment and selection of specialist staff to ensure that they have the qualities, skills, and abilities necessary to perform their job function and meet the objectives and goals of the Finance/Administration department.
Develop the skills and abilities of all departmental staff.
Quality Assurance
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and customer satisfaction after your induction and training has been completed.
Ensure quality assurance certification is maintained in accordance with relevant policy and legislation.
Work Health & Safety
Ensure all work is performed and adhered to in accordance with the requirements of WHS AS/NZS 45001:2018 after your induction and training has been completed.
Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at your workplace.
Environment
Ensure all activities are performed and adhered to in accordance with Environmental Management Systems.
Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance related discipline.
CA qualified.
Prior Public Practice experience.
Leadership and Management Training.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior financial management position in a commercial entity.
Strong IT and ERP systems experience in wholesale distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
Franchising model experience.
Personal Attributes:
Strong personal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish rapport & negotiate with key internal & external stakeholders to achieve company objectives.
Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
