Research Analyst-Domestic Violence Death Review Team

Salary: Ranging from $110,266 to $122,058pa.
What you’ll do:
Reporting to the DVDRT Manager, this role is responsible for contributing to the design and implementation of the DVDRT’s research and reform agenda. Working with the DVDRT Manager and the Senior Research Analysts, this role will assist in the day-to-day operation of the DVDRT to contribute to the prevention of domestic violence deaths in NSW and to enhance awareness and understanding about domestic violence and associated issues.
Other responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):
1. Undertaking high level quantitative and qualitative research and analysis in relation to domestic violence deaths to identify key themes, trends and issues and contribute to the understanding and awareness of domestic violence more broadly;
2. Assisting in the development of reports, recommendations, research papers and submissions to support the legislative objectives of the DVDRT;
3. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive database of domestic violence deaths in NSW;
4. Providing administrative support in relation to the operation of the DVDRT, including preparation of meeting papers, coordination of member appointments, and provision of briefings for the DVDRT Convenor;
5. Liaising with a broad range of stakeholders including members of the public, professional bodies, community representatives, and other public sector agencies and departments to inform research and analysis in relation to domestic violence deaths.
What we’re looking for:
Tertiary qualifications in law/social science and/or equivalent experience in a relevant profession such as legal research or policy. Capacity to work in an environment that may involve potential exposure to psychosocial hazards related to the range of services provided in a court environment.
