About the Role:
We offer a unique opportunity for individuals with limited or no rail industry experience to undertake a structured training program and become a qualified locomotive driver.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Safe operation of locomotives, including mainline and yard operations
* Basic train examination competencies, such as roll by inspections
* Driving Aurizon motor vehicles as required
* Working in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
Upon successful completion of the training, you will obtain a nationally recognized Certificate IV in Driving Operations.
You will work on a 24/7 shift roster, including early starts, late finishes, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
