Job Description
1. Perform inspections of structures, buildings, renovations, and interior projects to ensure conformance with approved plans, specifications, construction methods, and materials.
2. Participate in resolving non-conformities; conduct final site inspections and hand over acceptance.
3. Develop and provide inputs for Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
4. Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
5. Perform inspections to ensure conformity to specifications and communicate results via work inspection request (WIR) and material inspection request (MIR) processes.
6. Perform final acceptance inspections by confirming adherence to specifications, conduct visual/measurement tests, return products for re-work, and confirm re-work.
7. Input data into Quality database.
8. Verify and validate the structural soundness of buildings, structures, and construction projects.
9. Assess the structural quality of buildings and structures ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and contract specifications.
10. Review blueprints and building plans.
11. Inspect building structure, plumbing, electrical, sewage, and heating/cooling systems for safety and specification compliance.
12. Measure dimensions to verify alignment, elevation, and leveling of buildings and structures.
13. Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications.
Qualifications
1. 6+ years of experience as an inspector for construction projects in case of engineering degree holder and 12+ years in case of diploma holder.
2. Engineering degree or Diploma in Building Inspection, Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
3. Demonstrated knowledge in ASTM, IBC & Glass Reinforced Concrete Association (GRCA).
Knowledge on ACI, AAMA, ANSI, and BSI.
