About the role As the Services Manager, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Customer Group.
The Services Manager in the Operations department plays a crucial role in enhancing customer service at the station, ensuring V/Line passengers have a great travel experience.
This position addresses service delivery challenges, manages station presentation, and oversees shunting to improve operational performance.
With a focus on human resources, safety, and creating a welcoming atmosphere, the Services Manager is committed to continuous improvement.
You support locomotive and train drivers with LACRS monitoring, train docking, and carriage scheduling.
In the absence of the Customer Service Manager, the Services Manager acts as the local supervisor, promoting team collaboration and enhancing staff performance.
Based on rostering and business requirements, you may be required to work at various stations along the Warrnambool line.
Key Accountabilities include: Manage all staff and customer services facilities and activities, including station presentation and management of station staff to maximise service levels Coordinate coach operations and ensure rail replacement coaches are operated and managed efficiently in times of disruptions Perform Safeworking, signalling and shunting duties Provide strong guidance and mentorship to staff while developing a positive team culture, ensure all local audit surveys and records are carried out timely and maintained up to date About you We are seeking a candidate with strong leadership and mentoring abilities, demonstrated through previous leadership roles.
As our ideal candidate you will possess strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
You should also have demonstrated conflict resolution skills and resilience, along with a strong working safety culture.
