Chandler Macleod is currently recruiting multiple APS5 Co-design and Engagement Officer to work in temporarily 6-month contract role with our federal government client.
About the Team
The Co-Design and Engagement Branch is responsible for developing a NDIS Engagement Framework which will describe the differences between co-design, consultation and information engagement. Co-Design engagement is planned and managed with input from the Co-Design Advisory Group, which has members of the Independent Advisory Council (IAC) and Disability and Carer Representative Organisations (DRCOs).
The Co-Design and Engagement Branch supports all Agency policies, processes or initiatives that require a co-design approach and/or interface with community, mainstream and sector stakeholders. The branch provides advice and operational support when engaging with sector stakeholders and the disability community. It is responsible for managing events and activities logistics for all Agency engagement.

* Writing accessible documents
* Experience with people with disability
* Facilitation skills
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
* Educating, informing and liaising with mainstream services to improve participant experience and increase participant social and economic participation.
* Maintaining local relationships with relevant key stakeholders to support effective engagement.
* Working as part of a high performing team to effectively engage with people with disability, their families and carers using a nationally consistent engagement approach.
* Representing the NDIA at external forums and events, providing information and guidance to people with disability, NDIS participants and the wider community.
* Proactively delivering engagement activities and projects against the NDIA Engagement strategy by applying communication and engagement experience.
* Delivering clear, concise and effective messaging to people with disability, their families and carers as well as other community and mainstream stakeholders.
* Managing the state/territory engagement inbox, acting as a point of escalation for the triaging of enquiries and requests.
