MLG Oz have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an Auto Electrician looking to upskill to a Fleet Management System Technician. This role is responsible for the strategy and support of MLG's in-vehicle technology including telematics, driver safety systems, digital loading systems and site-specific communications. About the role: Full Training Provided! Experience with VMS or DSS desirable but not necessary. 8/6 Roster across all sites as required Perth Based Position (frequent travel to remote sites required - Company supplied vehicle) Immediate Start Full Time, Permanent Opportunity Duties may include some or all of the following: Physical installation of in-vehicle technology hardware in prime movers, rigid axle trucks, light vehicles and heavy machinery Assisting sites with Auto Repairs as Required In person and remote diagnosis and support for hardware faults Provisioning and maintenance of user accounts in software applications Configuration of hardware and software Monitoring and distribution of reports Liaising with internal and external stakeholders for ad hoc data/reporting requests Short to long term strategy formulation and delivery Skills and Experience required: Knowledge, understanding or awareness of Telematics systems, in particular: MT Data DSS Seeing Machines MDVR systems Maintains knowledge of updated market trends in relevant technologies Base level understanding of computer networking Work autonomously, with minimal supervision High level of problem-solving ability Previous experience with telematics systems, desirable Previous mechanical or auto electrical experience (including audio/accessory fitting), desirable Auto Electrical Trade, desirable Must hold minimum "C Manual" WA driver's license. Ability to pass client-based drug and alcohol and medical tests.
