The role is to deliver practical and emotional support to young people who are homeless and in crisis.Position Overview:This role is a casual position, based in Bundaberg, QLD. You will provide a referral service to appropriate community service providers and deliver a safe, secure, and clean environment for the client group in a 24-hour accommodation setting.Responsibilities: Develop effective and supportive relationships with clients, ensuring that each client is treated with respect, dignity, and confidentiality.Develop a co-operative relationship with all staff members to ensure an effective team approach to program implementations and service delivery.Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate life skills and other programs for clients.Provide information and referral services to non-government and statutory organizations, community organizations, and individuals as required.Minimum Requirements: A qualification in social work, youth work, community work, or equivalent.Experience working with young people who are homeless and/or in crisis within a Case Management Framework.Experience working with young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions.Desirable Qualifications:Understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, mental ill health, and other disabilities.Additional Requirements:A national police record check is required.
