We are seeking a reliable and skilled medical receptionist for a casual position with flexible hours. Immediate start is available. Applicants with transferrable skills will be considered.Our practice is in a phase of expansion, and we need someone who can thrive in a bustling environment, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.Key ResponsibilitiesActing as the first point of contact for all phone calls and patients, ensuring a welcoming and warm first impression.Maintain and adhere to privacy and confidentiality requirements.Performing the day-to-day operations of the front desk, including booking patients, processing patient billing, and processing correspondence.Assisting patients with enquiries.Completing opening and closing procedures.Liaising with doctors, nurses, and patients.Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence with care and attention to detail.Basic cleaning duties.General troubleshooting skills of telephone system, internet, printers, and other clinical equipment.Participating in team meetings and ongoing training to continuously improve practice operations.Additional RequirementsAvailability to work various shifts, including potential evenings and weekends.Ability to provide coverage during staff absences on short notice.Flexibility to increase hours during busy periods.Qualifications & SkillsPrevious medical reception experience preferred (but not required).Excellent customer service and communication skills.Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work under pressure.Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Computer literacy and experience with Best Practice Software (desirable).Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality.Personal AttributesWarm, welcoming demeanor with patients and colleagues.Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.Professional appearance and attitude.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.As our practice continues to expand, there is potential for increased hours or even a permanent role for the right individual.How to ApplyIf you're passionate about making a positive impact and believe you have the skills and enthusiasm to excel in this role, kindly forward a cover letter that addresses the outlined criteria, along with your up-to-date CV to (emailprotected).
