HR & Recruitment HR - General Sydney Contract or Temp 18/11/2024 Well respected not for profit organisation Flexible, hybrid arrangements available Secure a role where you can make a real difference The Company You will be working for a well-known, not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and native animals.Receiving around 170,000 calls each year from people requiring advice or assistance, they utilise their network of over 3000 volunteer wildlife rescuers and carers, as well as their connections with veterinarians, the RSPCA and government departments to coordinate rescues and provide assistance.In addition to providing rescue services, they also play a major role in community native wildlife education.The Role Working out of their Brookvale offices, you will be responsible for the timely and professional follow-up, investigation, and resolution of any formal complaints made by volunteers or staff.With a strong background in effective conflict management and resolution delivery, and the ability to develop relationship with key stakeholders, you will use your ability to interpret legislation, regulations and awards, together with policies and procedures to resolve concerns and encourage positive resolutions.In this, you will report to the HR Manager for day-to-day activities and directly to the CEO for the resolution of formal cases.Duties Assisting with the investigation and management of volunteer grievances Recording and reporting cases of conflict for resolution Managing key stakeholders through the complaints management process Liaising with Volunteer Branch Grievance Officers to provide advice, assistance and support Providing conflict coaching and support to volunteers to encourage positive resolutions during disputes Assisting both volunteers and Branch Grievances Officers with their roles and responsibilities Providing guidance to volunteers and branches in the preparation of necessary documentation Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders Ensuring internal compliance and legislative needs of the organisation related to HR are met and effectively communicated Monitoring of appropriate policies and procedures to deliver a compliance framework and minimise risk through continuous improvement Updating complaints spreadsheet on issues in hand/resolved daily, weekly, monthly Skills and Experience 4 -5 years' experience in a similar role – ideally within a volunteer based NFP Tertiary qualified in Dispute Resolution, Law, Human Resources Management or a related field Ability to interpret legislation, regulations and awards together with policies and procedures Background knowledge of Workplace Relations, Work Health and Safety and Workers Compensation laws and practices Proven experience in effective conflict management and resolution delivery AHRI membership (desirable) Ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Excellent computer skills especially across MS Office applications Ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative team environment Highly organised, reliable and exceptional attention to detail Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills A positive, collaborative and solution-focused attitude.Benefits Opportunities where you work in HR but can also use your passion for animal welfare and volunteering to improve outcomes do not come up every day!Don't miss this opportunity to work for an amazing NFP based locally on the Northern Beaches.Only applicants with full working rights in Australia need apply, please note this role is based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney We encourage all applicants, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, LGBTIQ+ and culturally diverse communities.APPLY NOW by sending your up-to-date resume and cover letter to ****** ,or for a confidential chat call Julie: 0284164181
