The HR Administrator is responsible for supporting and improving HR processes, ensuring compliance, and managing day-to-day HR operations.
This role requires both HR expertise and strong administrative skills to ensure the smooth running of all business-related administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and willing to handle a variety of HR and general administrative duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities 1.
HR Administration & Employee RecordsMaintain and update employee records in HR databases and physical files.Ensure HR records comply with legal and company requirements.Prepare HR reports and assist in audits.Manage HR-related correspondence, documentation, and filing.2.
Recruitment, Onboarding & Employee DeparturesManage job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.Prepare offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documents.Coordinate new employee orientation and training sessions.Order uniforms and equipment for new hires, and manage ongoing uniform requests for existing employees.Handle employee departures, including conducting exit interviews, processing resignation letters, and managing offboarding documentation.3.
PayrollEnsure employees are paid correctly and on time, including wages, bonuses, and deductions.Keep accurate records of payroll transactions, taxes, superannuation, and leave.Follow payroll laws and regulations, including tax and superannuation rules.Respond to payroll questions from employees and management.Submit quarterly superannuation reports to relevant funds for CFO approval and payment.Submit regular payroll reports, including QLeave and year-end documents.4.
HR Policy & ComplianceEnsure compliance with labour laws and company policies.Update HR policies and employee handbooks.Manage HR audits and documentation requirements.5.
Employee Relations & SupportAddress employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.Lead employee engagement initiatives and events.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR dealings.6.
Training & Development SupportCoordinate training schedules and maintain training records.Monitor and track certification and training expiry dates for compliance.Develop and maintain a training needs analysis to identify skill gaps.Coordinate with trainers, facilitators, and external training providers.Ensure alignment of training programs with company policies, values, and objectives.7.
General Administrative SupportDeliver general office administration support as required.
Lead company-wide initiatives, events, and special projects.Arrange flights, accommodations, and transportation for management and team members, ensuring efficient and cost-effective travel plans.Assist with day-to-day office operations, including maintaining office supplies, equipment, and ensuring a clean and organised workspace.Liaise directly with Senior Management for all additional ad-hoc requests.Qualifications & Requirements Education:Desirable but not essential qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.Experience:Minimum 3 years of HR administrative experience preferred.Skills:Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Planner.Familiarity with Employee Accounting software Xero.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.Ability to take ownership of HR processes and improve efficiency.Office-based role with possibility of occasional travel for recruitment or training events.Hybrid or remote work may be available depending on company policy and current needs of business.Must be willing to oversee various administrative duties as needed.LeadershipThe role requires strong autonomy and leadership.The potential to grow the role into a team of trainees/junior staff underneath you.How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.
