Talent International is currently recruiting for a Senior Contract Officer to work for an NSW Government client based in Parramatta, NSW. This is contract role initially 6 months contract with the view to be extended. The role is paying per hour + Super.
7 hours per day / 35 hours per week
Driver's license is mandatory
Purpose of the role:
Managing contract related projects including development and monitoring project plans, coordinating resource and managing budgets; preparing project related documents to key stakeholders as required, including status updates, reports, budgets, discussion papers and briefing notes.
Undertakes research, identifies and analyses options, recommends solution to support the development of key projects across the client.
Responsibilities of the role:
1. Manages large scale, high complex maintenance contracts to meet required commercial outcomes for the business unit and the client.
2. Develops risk management strategies for large-scale, high complexity maintenance contracts to ensure optimal asset management outcomes for the client, properties and the community.
3. Develops, implements and reviews business unit policies, procedures and strategies to ensure quality decision making and successful outcomes in the management of asset and property portfolios.
4. Manages contract related projects including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources and managing budgets; preparing project related documents to key stakeholders as required, including status updates, reports, budgets, discussion papers and briefing notes;
5. Undertakes research, identifies and analyses options, recommends solutions to support the development of key projects across client; monitors, evaluates and analyses the performance of key contract projects and provides advice to support informed decision making.
6. Provides expert advice and support to project team members and stakeholders in undertaking tasks and implementing contract initiatives.
7. Interprets contractual conditions and obligations, resolves disputes with party providers to ensure service delivery standards meet the current and future business requirements; and
8. Identifies, anticipates, addresses trends and risks that may impede the delivery of contracted services in accordance with the business plans, communicates preventive measures to relevant internal clients.
Experience:
9. Demonstrated ability to manage complex maintenance contracts.
10. Demonstrate an ability to establish and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.
11. Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines
12. Demonstrated ability to undertake research, identify and analyse options, recommend solutions and provide advice to support informed decision making;
13. Current Driver's Licence
Essential Requirements
14. Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
15. Project management skills and experience
