Environmental Technologies & Analytics Pty Ltd (ETA) is seeking two experienced Air Quality Scientists to join our growing team of dedicated technical and consulting professionals. This is a full-time position, based in our Perth (Western Australia) office in Balcatta.
ETA is a niche air quality science and environmental consultancy providing versatile, high quality services for projects where air quality is of critical importance due to operational, planning or regulatory challenges. * Salary range dependent on relevant experience $90,000 to $120,000 (AUD) exclusive of superannuation, depending on experience.
The role:
We assist our clients to make informed decisions based on robust science. You will have responsibilities including but not limited to:
* Undertaking air quality impact evaluation and risk assessments, including emission estimation and atmospheric modelling.
* Writing technical reports, including data analysis and interpretation.
* Providing technical advice on ambient monitoring and impact management plans.
* Working directly with clients and environmental regulation authorities.
* Undertaking field investigations, including odour and dust assessments, at locations throughout Australia.
* Performing greenhouse gas, air quality and climate risk assessments.
* Project management and technical study coordination including small team management and client liaison.
* Proposal preparation including developing scope of works and costings.
Our preferred candidate will have:
* A tertiary qualification in STEM - engineering (chemical or environmental), environmental science, meteorology, applied physics or other suitably appropriate disciplines.
* 3 to 5 years of relevant post-graduate experience for Mid-Level appointment.
* 5 to 7 years of relevant post-graduate experience for Senior Specialist-Level appointment.
* Proven experience in Python (experience in R or Fortran would also be considered).
* Experience in meteorological modelling and emission estimation.
* Strong project management and client relationship management skills.
* Strong report writing and data analysis skills.
* A valid and unrestricted Australian Driver's License.
* The right to live and work in Australia (i.e. an Australian citizen at the time of application).
* Be willing to undergo any police, character, health or other checks required.
* Full time: 38 hours per week
