Summary About Park Hyatt Sydney and The Dining Room Finding luxury in every detail, Park Hyatt hotels provide an experience of sophisticated, contemporary luxury.Located among the world's premier cities and resort destinations, each custom-designed Park Hyatt hotel combines distinct regional character with elegant brand touches.The Dining Room is the signature restaurant of Park Hyatt Sydney.The Dining Room is reminiscent of a luxurious harbour side residence, bathed in natural light, in the ideal location with magical views of Sydney Harbour, Circular Quay and the iconic Sydney Opera House.We are looking for an Assistant Sommelier to join our restaurant.The ideal candidate will be a young-minded, energetic, vibrant and edgy professional.About the Role Assists the Hotel Sommelier to collate and maintain a wine list for the restaurant, bar and other food and beverage outlets that will enhance the cuisine and offer a broad spectrum wine of both domestic and imported nature.Assists the Hotel Sommelier to order, collect, check and put away stock Assists the Hotel Sommelier to be responsible for organising wines prior to and during service.To ensure that the cellar and wine cool room is stocked at all times and wines are stored in the appropriate manner.To provide guests with clear, helpful advice and recommendations of products to enhance the dining experience, taking into consideration the flavours and ingredients of the items ordered by the guest.Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.Handles guest enquires in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if there is no immediate solution and assure follow up with guests.To have passion on wines and willing to learn about wine and drinks or sommelier related studies
