The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking a dynamic and experienced Coordinator to oversee the efficient and effective management of the Goldfields Arts Centre. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations, financial sustainability, and overall performance of the venue.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee daily operations of the Goldfields Arts Centre to ensure financial sustainability and operational excellence.
2. Lead and support a dedicated team in administration, marketing, programming, and technical staff.
3. Develop and manage budgets, contracts, and financial reporting.
4. Balance artistic integrity, financial viability, and community accessibility in programming.
5. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, producers, and arts companies.
6. Evaluate program performance and identify growth opportunities.
7. Maintain high customer service standards for visitors, performers, and hirers.
8. Ensure compliance with risk management, governance, and financial policies.
9. Advocate for the Goldfields Arts Centre within the arts community.
Key Performance Indicators
1. Develop and deliver a Strategic Action Plan including service level delivery.
2. Complete all PULSE Corporate Reporting Framework.
3. Achieve comprehensive theatre and gallery program delivery within budget.
4. Maintain legal and contract documents for venue hire and show bookings.
5. Promote a venue hire package highlighting benefits for shows.
6. Lead culture change initiatives in the Community Development Directorate.
7. Achieve an 80% or greater satisfaction ranking based on user surveys.
Skills & Knowledge
1. Tertiary qualifications in venue management or related discipline.
2. Experience in regulatory and corporate governance, contract management, and time management.
3. Proven experience in budget management and revenue growth targets.
4. Excellent negotiation, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
6. Current National Police Clearance and WA “C” Class driver's license.
