Purpose of the role
The Return to Work Coordinator works with injured employees, their managers and other key stakeholders to ensure a supported and timely return to work program
Responsibilities:
* Preparing, monitoring and reviewing a worker's recover at work plan
* Compiling the initial notification information
* Coordinating the worker's recovery at work, including identifying suitable work
* Liaising with the worker's support team
* Supporting the redeployment of workers into suitable work when they cannot return to their pre-injury duties
* Keeping confidential case notes and records in line with laws and guidelines
* Contributing to the improvement of relevant policies and systems.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of workplace rehabilitation legislative requirements, safety legislation and management systems.
* 2 years experience working as a Return-to-Work Coordinator or similar role
* SIRA Return to Work Coordinator Training (Free online course)
* Tertiary qualification in Work, Health and Safety
* High level of interpersonal and communication skills, including report writing, consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
* Class C licence and reliable transport
* Recent professional references
* Unrestricted Australian working rights
