The Lecture or Senior Lecturer will be responsible for providing leadership in research, teaching and engagement in the area of Cyber and Network Security. The role will promote the School and maintain links and partnerships with relevant academic, industry and professional communities
In addition to the development and utilisation of cutting edge technology and laboratories for teaching Cyber and Networking Security to support active learning styles, the position will provide hands on coaching for student teams competing in Cyber Security competitions such as capture the flags, forensics tournaments, and cyber war-games and will supervise students in multi-disciplinary capstone project teams.
The successful candidate will be appointed based on experience relevant to the role.

5. Lead teaching teams to develop effective unit and course curricula and learning material (including through course leadership roles)
6. Deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels / modes of delivery
7. Apply leading industry and/or research practice into student learning experiences and resources
8. Support diverse learners by designing accessible and inclusive unit and course material and practices
9. Foster a culture of collaboration and educational excellence within the discipline
Key selection criteria for the Lecturer role:
10. PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
11. Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design
12. Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or exhibitions and/or success in obtaining external research funding
13. Ability to make a contribution to community engagement for research and teaching
14. Capacity to contribute to leadership of teaching, research and/or administration
15. Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues
Key selection criteria for the Senior Lecturer role:
Qualifications and experience
16. PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in the relevant discipline area
17. excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design and research supervision
18. nationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in quality journals and/or exhibitions and/or success in obtaining external research grants
19. positive engagement with research, community, industry and government to enhance the national standing of the discipline
20. demonstrated capacity and passion for leadership of teaching, research and/or administration
21. excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
