Looking to support people with neurological conditions to live their best lives?
We are seeking a Care Support Worker to join our supported accommodation team at our Albany Facility, with permanent part-time and casual positions available.
With accommodation facilities for up to 10 residents living with neurological conditions (including MS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Motor Neurone, Acquired Brain Injury, and Stroke), MSWA offers an age-appropriate option for younger people who would otherwise be at risk of entering aged-care facilities due to their high care needs.
It allows our residents to maintain their privacy while promoting social interaction with fellow residents, staff, and visitors in a shared communal area. Additionally, it is designed to integrate with the local community and feel more like a home!
As a Care Support Worker, you’ll be assisting with their personal care (including showering, dressing & personal hygiene), domestic assistance (e.g., household chores and serving meals), medication assistance, and social support if required (for example, community access).
So, are you ready to make a difference as a Care Support Worker? If so, keep reading because this role won’t just make a huge difference to the lives of those living with neurological conditions – it’ll make a big difference to your life too.
Our ‘must haves’
1. NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
2. A Certificate III in a relevant discipline.
Our ‘nice to haves’
1. Current Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence with no restrictions.
2. Provide First Aid certificate – less than 12 months old (if not, we can help you there!).
3. Experience in a care support worker role.
4. A positive attitude (makes a huge difference!).
We know your CV doesn’t tell the whole story. That’s why we’ve partnered with VERVO to create a skills assessment, so you can show us what you’re capable of! Once you apply, you may be guided through the assessment, giving you a chance to understand the role of a Support Worker.
