About the role
The Clinical Nurse Educator delivers and evaluates clinical education programs in consultation with Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse educators and Clinical Nurse Consultants; to support the delivery of clinical best practice, service and enhanced patient outcomes across Perioperative Services. The successful applicant will facilitate, support and mentor New Graduate Registered Nurses participating in the perioperative transition program.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate in-service sessions on new policies, procedures, documents and equipment.
2. Provide learning opportunities to enhance, communication skills and advanced professional practice knowledge.
3. Support annual assessments required for staff to remain credentialed to undertake their role and meet identified minimal standards.
What you bring
4. Expertise in clinical teaching, education and training.
5. Advanced computer literacy skills, data bases and electronic schedules.
6. Demonstrated leadership, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
7. Relevant Post Graduate Qualifications and current Workplace Training and Assessment Cert IV or willingness to work towards same.
8. Registered Nurse authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with recent extensive post registration experience in Perioperative Service.
