We’re looking for an energetic, full-time Assistant Store Manager for our Townsville Paint Trade Centre, who has a passion for service excellence & a ‘can-do’ attitude.Reporting to the Store Manager, this position would suit an experienced Sales Assistant looking for their next step, or a current Assistant Store Manager.You will assist the Store Manager in accountabilities for retail fundamentals, including outstanding customer service, reporting, promotions, and merchandising standards. You will help achieve sales and profitability growth, whilst maintaining a productive and safe work environment.Guided by your Store Manager, you will work closely with other Store Managers and the Trade team to implement and maintain sales growth within our Company Owned Stores and continue to strive for service excellence within the paint industry.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate exceptional customer service, accountability, ownership, teamwork, promoting engagement and offering solutions.Assist the Store Manager to maintain the team's knowledge, skills, and behaviours to ensure a successful store culture.Tinting & mixing paint, palletising paint drums, arranging orders for delivery & colour matching.Deliveries using the Store vehicle.Inventory, ordering, stock replenishment.Assist to grow store revenue and targets and hitting KPI’s.Maximise the sales approach to focus on the features and benefits of PPG products.Assist to implement marketing and promotional plans to maximise sales potential.Maintain and continue development of customer relationships. Offering advice/solutions to customers, both trade and retail.Operate point of sale system and prepare sales invoices following company policy.Deliver store customer service standards by demonstrating and coaching colleagues the 4x3 Customer Service Protocol – Welcome, Understand, Solution, and Sell.Increase sales using the 4x3 Selling Application System – Preparing, Prime and Seal, Finishing.Assist to achieve and adhere to Store standards, including EHS, training & housekeeping.Uphold and maintain the highest levels of safety for all team, customers & contractors.TrainingAttend PPG state-based training – trade product, 4x3 Customer Service Protocol & Selling Application System.Undertake sales techniques, store presentations, customer service, and ethics training.Help with the training of the team.On offerOngoing product training in a market leading brand.Commitment to ongoing job security, development, and growth.Incentives for hitting monthly budget.Good work/life balance.About youMotivated with the ability to demonstrate initiative.Experience in retail sales, with a strong customer focus, strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.Visual Merchandising experience preferred, not essential.An eye for detail, with a focus on safety and driving sales results.Comfortable with technology - computer literacy is a must.Available Monday – Friday between 6.30am – 4.30pm for a 38 hour work week.
