We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills and team leadership abilities will be essential. As a leader in the team, you'll make a real impact in a workplace that's human-led and tech-enabled.
As a Senior Developer in Guidewire ClaimCenter, you'll work with and provide guidance and leadership to a team of developers that will help clients harness technology to achieve key business objectives. You will work across both core Guidewire and related platforms and technologies, such as document management, finance, digital, and data.
In our Guidewire team, your core skillset will include, but not be limited to:
Real-time knowledge and experience in enterprise system integration, preferably from an insurance domain background. Good understanding and experience in software architecture, design patterns, and software development best practices. Identifying, defining, and leading continuous improvement activities to increase the quality and velocity of solutions and ways of working. Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter (on-prem or Cloud); BillingCenter and PolicyCenter considered. Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Postgres, and well-versed in SQL. Experience with integration to other platforms such as Document Management, Finance, Digital, etc. Strong business and technical communication (oral and written) skills. Proven technical and people leadership skills and ability to lead development teams, including work allocation, technical designs, code reviews, and code merge activities. Ability to work with and influence wider technology teams, including other developer leads, project managers, and Business Analyst Leads. Working with client business SMEs to understand the requirements and translate them into viable solutions. Maintaining and fixing issues across environments (dev, QA, UAT, and Prod) and involvement in unit testing and documentation. It's time to move forward and upward. You want to lead teams with impact and create meaningful change in a place with the flexibility and reward you need to make your life work away from the office.
We'll give you a career-defining leadership role that:
Encourages everyone to have a voice and invites opinions from all, including quieter members of the team. Deals effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations. Initiates open and candid coaching conversations at all levels. Moves easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail. Anticipates stakeholder needs, and develops and discusses potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realizes they are required. Contributes technical knowledge in area of specialism. Contributes to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart. Navigates the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements. Initiates and leads open conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust. Upholds the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
