About The Position
The Development Engineer role is involved in an interesting variety of challenging work including residential, commercial and industrial development assessment. This position involves the assessment of a variety of engineering matters submitted to the City by developers, including:
* Traffic management plans
* Traffic impact statements
* Civil subdivision drawings
* Stormwater management plans
The role also includes assessment from a civil/traffic perspective on a variety of planning applications, including:
* Scheme amendments
* Structure plans
* Subdivision proposals
* Local development plans
* Development applications
* Parking management plans
About You
You are an enthusiastic, motivated and team-focused Development Engineer (with a particular interest in the field of traffic engineering) who embraces working in a dynamic and evolving environment. The successful applicant will possess the following:
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Traffic engineering with ability to be accepted to the Institute of Engineers Australia
* Experience in preparing/reviewing engineering matters including transport impact assessments, transport impact statements, traffic management plans and parking studies
* Experience working on complex projects and using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent liaison and negotiation skills, preferably demonstrated with government agencies and consultants
Salary: $116,995 - $123,944 per annum (plus super), depending on relevant qualifications and experience, with commuting use of a vehicle negotiable to the right applicant.
