Currently, we have a vacancy for a Production Operator/Slicer Operator in our baking production facility in Darwin. The Operator is an integral member of the baking team. The role will make a strong contribution to a high-performing production team and team culture within the Darwin site. These positions are integral to the successful output of our daily fresh products to the community. Reporting to a Team Manager, you will work as part of the operations team to ensure that our daily fresh bread products are produced and packaged in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner, ensuring quality and food safety standards are met.
You will need a willingness and an aptitude to learn and a history in manufacturing or machine line operations. To ensure success in this role, you will have good communication skills and be committed to following processes and procedures. Interacting with a variety of people will come naturally to you, and while you will actively contribute to the team, you will be disciplined enough to work autonomously.
The shift patterns available are:
Monday 6:15am-4:15pm
Tuesday 8:15am-6:15pm
Friday 8:15am-6:15pm
Saturday 9:15am-7:15pm
Key accountabilities of the role include:
* Operation of machinery and equipment on the processing lines
* Adhering to the company's Health and Safety/Food Safety (HACCP) policy and procedures
* Performing effective online quality checks, product evaluation, and monitoring
* Maintaining a clean and safe work area
About You
* 2+ years of experience in Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment (desirable)
* Experience in Food handling/Food processing industry
* Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work autonomously
* Effective oral and written communication
* A focus on safe working practices
* Willingness and aptitude to learn
