We have an opportunity for you to join Samsung Australia to make a difference as our Channel Marketing Manager in the Mobile Experience (MX) division. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of Samsung’s Eco portfolio (Tablet, Smartwatch, Wireless Earbuds, and Mobile Accessories).
Closely working with the MX Product, Sales, Retail and Marketing teams, you will develop and execute Eco-specific promotional campaigns across partner, retail and digital channels, including optimization and performance tracking.
You will develop and maintain marketing/promotional campaign calendars for each product category, including both new product launches and seasonal events. You will also work with the Sales and Retail teams to improve ranging and retail visibility of Samsung Eco products with our retail partners, and to secure partner marketing support and co-investment.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Own the Eco Channel Marketing calendar planning, execution and tracking/measurement.
2. Collaborate with the Product team to convert the consumer value proposition into customer and shopper value proposition at the channel, partner and customer level.
3. Understand channel complexity and propose appropriate sell-out and promotions.
4. Collaborate with the Product and Sales teams to develop and implement trade marketing and channel strategies, including sales enhancement platforms such as device trade-in, consumer financing, and value-added services
5. Propose, implement, track and evaluate sell-out activities to measure effectiveness, report sell-out analysis, recommend improvement and identify risks to stakeholders.
6. Base recommendations on quantitative/qualitative market and consumer insights, both from internal/external data points – and factoring competitor activities and seasonality.
7. Manage the budget, analyse the return on investment, analyse opportunity costs.
8. Fully utilise Eco assets by HQ, and sync with local Product and Marketing on asset gaps with RHQ.
9. The primary focus for this role will be retail/online channels, however, you may also support and collaborate with Telco Operator partners.
Skills and Qualifications
10. 5+ years of experience in channel/retail/partner marketing, ideally within the consumer electronics or technology (hardware) industry
11. Experience in market analysis and go-to-market strategy development
12. Demonstrated business acumen, awareness of market, retail, and e-commerce trends
13. Good stakeholder management and collaborative approach
14. Excellent Excel analytical skills to manage and track key business metrics to measure success
15. Experienced in producing polished reports in PowerPoint
16. Good communication and presentation skills
17. Self-motivation/discipline with high degree of initiative and result-oriented
18. Resilience, adaptable and agile - able to work well in a fast-paced environment and navigating changes
