The Opportunity The Tasman Hobart is now searching for engaging, experienced and committed Duty Manager to join our team We're looking for hospitality extraordinary who have a passion for executing seamless and transformative guest experiences whilst undertaking administrative and communication duties. If you have experience in a similar role, a natural organiser, have the ability to multi-task, are detailed oriented, and able to solve any issue that arises calmly and professionally then this may be the opportunity for you. Key Accountabilities Begin your journey with us as a Front Office Duty Managers, available in Part time or Full time positions. You will process all guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and room change/late check-out requests, secure payment, activate/reissue room keys, resolve guest calls etc. You will provide consistent outstanding guest experience in everything that you do. - Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example. - Supervises and manages employees. Manages all day-to-day operations. Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence. - Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensures employees do the same within the team. - Reviews financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. - Assists in the response and resolution of all guest issues received directly from guests or from Guest Relations. - Monitors that the supervisor is researching/processing all chargebacks and rebates on a timely basis - Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others. - Maintains a strong working relationship with all departments to support property operations and goals and to expedite the resolution of any problems that may arise through the general operation of the property. Profile - Previous experience as a Front Office Duty Manager - Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. - Thorough follow up, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills is a must. - Excellent time management and organizational skills. - Ability to emotionally connect with guests and provide superior levels of service. - Conflict resolution experience. - Must have the flexibility to work on a 24-hour rotating roster including public holidays and weekends. - Experience of OPERA property management system a distinct advantage. - Must have full working rights for Australia Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
