About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the Quality Assurance (Non-Food) team has become available within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury NSW. This is a 12-month fixed term contract position.
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Assistant, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing product compliance, safety and testing with suppliers, Technical Service Providers and other stakeholders. You will also consult with buying teams to bring quality electrical products to the market.
The successful candidate will be a QA professional with a technical background in electrical or electronics. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of product safety, regulatory compliance and product specifications with a focus on delivering quality products our customers love. We are looking for a passionate, proactive and highly organised team player, with a strong eye for detail.
What does the role look like?
* Prepare, design and facilitate product compliance testing
* Develop and communicate technical information to key stakeholders
* Collaborate with the broader Buying department and Technical Service Providers
* Support the implementation of quality and safety processes
* Develop, implement and maintain product performance requirements
* Ensure product compliance with mandatory standards, requirements and policies
* Manage the performance of external testing laboratories and Technical Service Providers
* Conduct product testing to provide stakeholders with detailed performance reports
* Demonstrated ability to provide recommendations based on analysis and testing results
* Investigate customer returns and complaints.
What do we need from you
* Demonstrated test laboratory work experience highly desirable
* Demonstrated experience within the QA, Electrical or Manufacturing industry
* Tertiary education within the electrical, electronics or engineering field preferred
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations and product label compliance
* Experience in the development of product specifications, technical investigation and report writing
* Experience in performing quality assessments
* Previous experience communicating technical information to stakeholders.

* Transparent tiered salary range of $96,800- $107,600 including super
