The Role
We are currently looking for passionate Domestic Assistants to join our team in Albany. Experience in the role is preferred; however, it is not essential. If you have 3-6 months of experience in a cleaning role, we’d love to hear from you!
Our Domestic Assistants support clients to undertake domestic tasks in the home as prescribed within the care/support plan, enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain their independence, where possible. Responsibilities include a range of domestic tasks, including making beds, ironing, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping the floor, with some social support in the community. Domestic Assistants will follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home; therefore, having unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously via a mobile app will be essential.
About You
* A valid Driver’s License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle, which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
* Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home, referring to a digital schedule and care plan via a mobile app, is essential.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential.
* Alignment with Silverchain Group's COVID-19 vaccination policy, which requires evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 or evidence of an authorised medical exemption.
