About The Role We are seeking expressions of interest for a Safety Officer / Advisor for a part-time (3 days per week) permanent position based in Hobart, Tasmania. Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, the primary purpose of the Safety Advisor is to support the SHEQ Compliance of the Project by promoting, embedding, and influencing Netflow's culture of "Choose the Safe Way". What You'll Be Doing: Act as the 'site safety presence' and inspect, collaborate, and ensure all field safety requirements are implemented to ensure 'Safety Above All Else'. Attend risk and planning workshops, HSE committees, and forums to communicate safety. Inspect depot and subcontractor sites and follow up actions with responsible Managers and Supervisors. Review Subcontractor and Maintenance SWMS and SOPs, Management Plans, and Work Packs. Assess the latest technology and innovation and present appropriate business cases on the benefits of implementing technological solutions that will enhance the environmental and H&S capability of the contract (e.g., QR codes for training records/inductions). Support project/contracts leaders to identify, measure, analyse, and control hazards in the form of risk assessments and method statements. Assist in the monitoring and closure of SHEQ actions to receive information, update registers, and close improvement opportunities. Assist the team to keep compliant records and registers. Assist in Audit reporting, tracking, and administration of SHEQ NCRs and improvement opportunities. About You - Diploma or Cert IV in OHS required.- Experience in services, construction, engineering, or another related field.- Valid Driver's Licence Class 1.- Medium to advanced computer literacy (internet, MS Office applications, HSE Software programs).- ICAM Investigation training or similar.- Excellent verbal, written, reporting, presentation, and communication skills.
