Our fast-paced environment offers growth opportunities in a vibrant industry. Job Description: We're seeking a skilled Graphic Designer / Admin Assistant to join our team. This role combines practical design work with essential administrative duties, ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks. Key Responsibilities: Design (70% of role): Create functional designs for signage and stickers using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. Lay out basic stickers using pre-designed templates, ensuring consistency and quality. Re-create files to increase quality for print output, optimizing resolution and color profiles. Develop general signage layouts with careful attention to sizing, clear fonts, and appropriate color choices. Prepare files for print production, ensuring technical accuracy and printability. Modify existing designs to meet specific client requirements or size variations. Ensure all designs adhere to provided measurements, often working in millimeters. Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing. Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Prepare and send design proofs to clients for approval, making revisions as necessary. Administrative Support (30% of role): Provide customer service in-store, over the phone, and via email. Process over-the-counter sales and handle payments. Advise customers on product options and specifications. Answer phone inquiries and manage email correspondence. Assist with quoting using in-house software. Generate invoices and process payments. Perform general office duties as required. Manage project timelines and communicate effectively with clients about deadlines. Requirements: 1-2 years of experience in graphic design, ideally within the signage, print, or marketing industries. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills for client interactions and proof approvals. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to read tape measurements accurately in millimetres. Experience in retail or sales is advantageous. Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
