You might think you know a lot about Bupa. You'll know we provide health insurance and aged care services across Australia, and you've probably also seen our dental and optical clinics in your local shopping centres. But what you might not realise is that we also deliver health assessments on behalf of the Australian Government via Bupa Medical Visa Services, for people who are applying for visas to live, work or study in Australia.
About the role As part of our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, we're growing our Medical Officer of the Commonwealth (MOC) team with a role that can be based anywhere within the country.
The primary responsibility of the role is to review and provide medical opinions against the Australian Immigration Health Criteria for visa applicants undertaking Immigration Medical Examinations (IME). The IME includes, depending on visa, age and background, clinical assessment, selected pathology tests and chest x-ray completed by the appointed panel physician network. The MOC responsibility encompasses the more complex medical assessments not meeting criteria for automatic clearance.
We're looking for customer-focused doctors with a commitment to creating memorable customer experiences. This role is an initial 6-month contract but has the potential to turn permanent depending on the contract needs early next year.
