A large federal government organisation is on the lookout for a Cloud Platform Manager for a permanent position with their team in Sydney. The purpose for the role is to mature the client’s cloud capabilities by delivering people, process, and technology changes aligned to the Cloud Platform 2025 Strategy. The role has amazing flexible working arrangements and a great salary on offer for the right candidate.Key Accountabilities:Take a lead in contributing to delivering the client’s multi-year Cloud Platform StrategyEstablish the Cloud Operating Model, uplifting internal skills and capabilities, and standardising the use of support partners to ensure effective, efficient, and safe use of cloudLead the Cloud Technical Design Authority to develop, manage, enforce standards, patterns, guidelines, and other controlsLead, guide, and develop individuals and teams, including project teams where required, to effectively achieve required outcomes and KPI’sEnforce and contribute to improvements in policies, controls, and processes, embedding the Microsoft Well Architected Framework and ensuring alignment with best practicesExperience Required:Proven experience as a Cloud Platform Manager, Owner, or similar role within a Hybrid or Multi-Cloud environmentSolid understanding of cloud platforms, system infrastructure, and platform operations across SaaS, PaaS and IaaSDemonstrated knowledge and practical skills in managing change and run of cloud technology solutions that are reliable, resilient, and highly availableLeadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and influence outcomesPrior hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and Infrastructure Automation on Azure highly desirableIf this sounds like your next role, please send an updated CV to Todd Thorn for a detailed discussion.
