Location: Bega, NSW
* This medical teaching position, based in regional NSW, will work with a committed team of rural health professionals and academics to develop the ANU Rural Medicine Program at a local level. The position is supported by a local administration officer.
* The role includes formal education delivery, clinical supervision, and organisation of block release teaching several times per year, including coordination of Year 3 clinical placements and liaison with local clinicians engaged in Year 4 selective teaching, as well as provision of structured rural immersion events for students in the pre-clinical phase of the medical degree.
* The successful applicant will work with local GPs, other medical specialists, and health professionals to offer long- and short-term clinical placements, and take local responsibility for academic monitoring and provision of educational and pastoral support to medical students.
* While the role is based in Bega, NSW, it will work closely with RCS staff in other sites and at the ANU Acton campus to align teaching activities across the Rural Clinical School and ensure consistency with the medical curriculum.
