The establishment, renowned for its dedication to excellence, serves approximately 65 plated desserts each evening at a 1 hat level, highlighting the need for precision, innovation, and quality in every creation.
Your Contribution:
1. Execution and Production: Work within the pastry team to produce an array of pastry cakes and desserts, adhering to contemporary trends and classic techniques. This role requires a significant level of skill and creativity, with a focus on executing the menu designed by senior culinary leadership.
2. Maintaining High Standards: Assist in maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation in all pastry and dessert offerings. Your contributions will be vital to upholding the venue's reputation for excellence.
3. Support and Supervision: Provide support and supervision to junior pastry chefs, playing a key role in their development by sharing knowledge and ensuring adherence to the restaurant's best practices.
4. Inventory and Procurement Assistance: Assist in managing inventory and the procurement process, contributing to the selection of high-quality ingredients with an emphasis on sustainability and ethical sourcing.
5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the culinary team, ensuring that pastry and dessert operations are seamlessly integrated into the overall dining experience.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Experience and Skill: A proven track record as a Pastry Chef in fine dining, high-end restaurants, cake shops, technical chocolate production, or 5-star hotels.
2. At least: 5 years of experience and 3 at the CDP level, with good volume experience, reflecting the ability to manage the production demands of this busy venue.
3. Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing sophisticated desserts and pastries, demonstrating skill, creativity, and an understanding of current culinary trends.
4. Qualifications: A culinary arts qualification with a specialization in pastry is preferred.
5. Language: A good level of English and the ability to pass the required English test for visa purposes.
