ABOUT THE ROLE
The Coach Developer QLD is a casual role that will be responsible for increasing the quality of community football coaching environments and the capacity of community coaches.
The Coach Developer will aim to deliver coach learning methods (coach education, facilitation, assessing, mentoring and reflection) with club coaches within their coaching context at club level. Trained coach developers will work with clubs and club coaches to identify individual performance & learning needs, while targeting whole-club coaching development of coaches within participating clubs. Facilitating meetings whilst enhancing coaching behavioural change and creating a ‘player centred’ environment are key focuses of Coach Developers.
Please be aware that AFL Queensland is looking for casual Coach Developers to support our coaching teams in the Gold Coast and regional areas.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
* To improve regional community club coaching programs, with a focus on enhancing the quality of the club coaching environment at all levels.
* Improve knowledge of and access to coach learning and education resources in community clubs.
* Work within the AFL QLD Coach Developer Program.
* Align with the AFL QLD Coach Developer Lead(s) to deliver AFL QLD endorsed programs.
* Support and contribute to the success of the broader team by communicating with fellow Coach Developers.

* Current Driver's Licence
* Highly developed communication and leadership skills.

* Ability to build strong working relationships – internally and externally.
* Ability to work effectively unsupervised whilst a member of a team.
* Ability to ‘coach’ with an on-going (lifelong) learning philosophy
* Professional Knowledge – Teaching & coaching expertise
* Inter-personal Knowledge – Relationship building & influencing
* Level 2 Coach AFL Accreditation
* 5 years + experience in coaching across a range of age groups
