School of Dentistry Part-time (60%), permanent position Full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $80,448 - $107,104 17% Superannuation (Academic Level A) Based at our Herston campus About This Opportunity An exciting opportunity for a Teaching Focused Associate Lecturer to support teaching into the Bachelor of Dental Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine programs. In this role, you will develop your teaching practice to enable student learning and demonstrate UQ values. You will engage in internal collaborations that expand your teaching expertise and profile. Key responsibilities will include: Teaching: Teach, facilitate and examine students in general dentistry, contribute to course design, implement pedagogies for specific student cohorts, organise facilitators and provide tutorial assistance, strengthen student engagement through collaboration and academic consultation, enhance quality of courses, and adhere to university teaching rules. Citizenship and Service: Demonstrate UQ values, engage in professional development and collegial life of the School, foster the School’s relations with external partners, and assist in student recruitment activities. Additionally, you will demonstrate: Evidence of high-quality university teaching skills or contributions to teaching in dentistry under the mentorship of established academics. An emerging teaching profile in dentistry with evidence of impact on student learning. An emerging profile of contributing to education research and/or emerging profile of collaborating on high-quality research in dentistry. Participation in activities to develop teaching expertise in the discipline. Participation in service activities in the School or the broader University. Well-developed communication, interpersonal and consultative skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in teaching and learning. A profile of professional expertise that complements and/or supplements the expertise that currently exists within the School and the broader University.
