The organisation is focused on providing sustainable, efficient and cost-effective services. About the Role Our client is seeking a Rail Track Engineer to join their team in Lithgow. This is an estimated 4month assignment, with a potential to extend. Some weekend work may occasionally be required. As the Project Manager, you will be required to undertake quality assurance / compliance audits on rail maintenance works completed by contractors for the delivery of the Lithgow Remodelling Project. Responsibilities: Partner with stakeholders to evaluate principal, technological and systemic requirements to meet SOW, functional specifications and project requirements End to end project management Partner with Project Managers on preliminary scoping, costing and planning activities Support Project Managers in developing PMP and documentation including safety plans, environmental plans, IWP, ITP and quality plans, cost estimates, schedules, resourcing requirements Set up project controls for cost and progress tracking Coordinate risk management workshops and rail safety reviews Review technical drawings and design documentation for technical accuracy and compliance Coordinate project teams to ensure safety in design and constructability reviews Participate and evaluate tenders against specifications to ensure technical merit Monitor project progress and report on scope, schedule and costs to meet quality standards Coordinate hand over process for completed works to stakeholders and manage defect resolution Handle procurement activities for project-specific needs outside the standard tender process Oversee site construction activities, ensuring safe work practices are maintained Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements About You Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels Solid technical, negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills High attention to detail Takes initiative with the ability to work autonomously Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, specifically track Proven project or program management experience Demonstrate experience delivering track construction projects Willingness to undergo a National Police Check Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment How to Apply Applications will be reviewed within 48 hours of the job posting.
