In this role, you'll:
You will also be responsible for:
4. Painting bridge steel members ensuring the manufacturers specifications, and standards are met
5. Inspecting painting work to make sure it meets the required standards
6. Performing scaffolding work when required to ensure painting gets done as efficiently and effectively
7. Providing guidance and support to other team members
About you
The successful candidate will be a trade qualified painter with previous experience in a painting and blasting role, ideally within a similar heavy industrial environment. You will also have the ability to work effectively in a team environment, have exceptional communication skills and have a passion for workplace health & safety.
Essential requirements also includes:
8. Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent/or relevant experience and meets licencing requirements
9. Current Construction Industry White Card\
10. Current unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver's license
11. Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed.
There will be opportunities for further training and career development. The salary for this position is Painter Grade 3 ($1, per week plus super) Further to basic salary other allowances will be paid to this position which includes:
Sydney Harbour Bridge allowance $ per week ($12,251 per year )
Lead paint removal allowance $ per hour (when you perform relevant tasks)
