The Child Health and Parenting Service are looking for suitable candidates to join our dynamic team in providing quality service to families of children under 5 based in the North West region of Tasmania.
The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) provide important health and wellbeing services to families across Tasmania with children aged 0-5. The service promotes the healthy development and wellbeing of children, providing growth and developmental assessments, health-focused early intervention, referrals and connections with other early childhood service providers.
The Role:
* Nursing Care: assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care in collaboration with individuals/groups, families and communities.
* Teamwork: interact effectively with clients’ families and other professionals to facilitate the provision of optimum child-centred health care.
* Excellence in Practice: active involvement in maintaining and continually improving the quality of patient/client care.
* Learning Culture: identify and meet client goals in partnership with clients and their families/significant others.
* Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes.
Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent, part-time, day worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Plus 25% Casual loading - Equivalent of $49.26 to $66.79 per hour. Subject to casual position only.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
* Current Driver’s Licence.
* Desirable: Holds a recognised child and family health nursing qualification, or is working towards same.
