About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Chef to join our team, who will report to our Head Chef/ Manager and is responsible for effectively managing the kitchen operations from order management to staff management and effectively delivering a high-quality service to our customers. The key responsibilities are mentioned below:
• To actively assist the Head Chef /manager in the creation of menus, prepare and supervise the production of approved menus.
• To Monitor par levels of the food stock, kitchen equipment and inform management when needed, perform stocktake and food items as requested by management, manage maintenance daily and report any issues to management.
• Supervising and coordinating the kitchen's operation, food preparation requirements and waste management.
• Preparing in-house fresh dough, in-house sauces, and toppings for a quality consistent meal.
• Ability to ‘hand stretch’ pizza dough and assisting with the preparation of slow-rise dough.
• Working knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine while maintaining food consistency and presentation.
• Great attention to detail & presentation; topping, baking, and finishing pizzas.
• Ensuring timely, high-quality preparation food and prompt client services.
• Rotating stock, ordering and maintaining food stock, food portion control, waste management, and stock purchase (receipt and storage);
• Able to handle equipment, appliances, small wares, supplies, and tools effectively and as per requirements.
• Work to set guidelines and ensure food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation are always maintained to a high standard
• Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintains appropriate dating, labelling, and rotation of all food items.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
· Minimum two (2) years of hospital, institutional, or restaurant cooking experience to include food preparation
· Current SERVSAFE certification or has successfully completed a sanitation course within the past year
· Associate’s degree in hotel or institutional food preparation preferred
· Current food handler’s card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law
· Familiar with point-of-sale computers and software
· Comfortable using a computer, navigating Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook Email
· High school diploma or GED
