You will liaise with medical practitioners, family and other multi-disciplinary team members to ensure excellence in personalised care. Working closely with a supportive Clinical Manager, your role is pivotal in promoting a culture of service delivery that enhances the lifestyle experiences of residents.You'll champion a strong teamwork approach to resident’s care, providing mentorship and guidance to your team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled nurses, Personal Carers, Lifestyle Officers and Allied Health staff.Most importantly, compassion and empathy accompany your clinical talent, alongside building relationships with our residents based on dignity and respect.What will you bring to the role?Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Aged CareDemonstrated competence in the provision of contemporary nursing care including medication management, clinical governance and assessment, and relevant documentationStrong leadership, communication and people management skillsUnderstanding of all relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, professional standards and guidelines relevant to the Aged Care environment,Accreditation and Continuous Quality ImprovementDemonstrate a strong working knowledge of care minutesProven track record in understanding and meeting the requirements of accreditationYou will be confident and competent with being accountable for the clinical care provisionsProactive and energetic approach in managing your time effectivelyApproachable and self-assured communication styleDemonstrated high level skills in wound management, medication administration, continence and/or palliative care (desirable)Who is Southern Cross Care Queensland?Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago.
