Job Title: Procurement Officer

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a suitably skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team.
As an integral part of the Procurement team, you will manage procurement activities to support a wide range of assets and inventory requirements for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in market research activities and support the development of the overall Procurement Strategy.
* Support the Procurement Manager in the development, preparation, review and evaluation of procurement-related documentation.
* Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from the determination to the payment of invoices, utilising relevant Logistics Information Systems used by Defence.
* Provide advice and guidance in procurement planning, preparation, management, tendering and contract formation whilst ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes, and procedures.
* Engage and negotiate with clients and stakeholders, responding to issues and taking the initiative to identify alternate actions where necessary.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:
* Direct knowledge and previous experience in Defence/Commonwealth procurement, finance or commercial processes.
* System/Software Experience including My Finance Portal (MyFi), Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS), and/or Systems, Applications and Products (SAP)/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
