Join this tight knit Melbourne based team working within the energy and billing space. In this role you'll provide development and support to core business support systems to ensure that changes to enhance the business are delivered, as well as continued business operations.What you'll be doing day-to-dayYou'll work as part of our Energy (Electricity and Gas) development and operations team, sharing knowledge and skills with colleagues. Building functional changes to systems and managing and resolving tasks submitted through the business support ticketing system. Conducting root cause analysis of issues, managing, fixing or escalating them. You'll work as part of the project development team, sharing knowledge and skills with colleagues and perform daily, weekly and monthly checks to ensure systems and processes are running optimally.Key aspects of the roleMaintain and support CRM/Billing applications. Ensure that these applications continue to provide the company's business critical processes in line with the business requirements.Resolve complex application queries and problems, demonstrating high standards of service and application specific knowledge to meet business needs to agreed performance levels.Analyse business requirements, application functionality and processes. Consult with subject matter experts in the provision of solutions in line with business requirements and agreed targets.Respond to internal requests from other areas of the business in a timely manner and work proactively to limit the impact on the business.What You'll bring to this roleMinimum 5 year's commercial experience within IT development with .NET, C# and VB coupled with the ability to read and understand complex code.Development experience within the Energy/Telecommunications industry with an understanding of CRM/Billing systems is ideal.The ability to keep abreast of continual, rapid changes in services and technologies.Skilled at identifying root causes to re-occurring issues and raise with the business.Thinking outside the box to provide simple, customer focused solutions to support business initiatives.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.Must possess a good understanding of .NET, C#, VB, Oracle, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Unit Testing.Experience and understanding of full stack development and an interest in learning new technologies such as MuleSoft and Salesforce.What We OfferWorking at Vocus will give you rewarding experiences and the opportunity to do extraordinary work.
