We are currently looking for aHorticultural Manager to provide technical and horticultural expertise to our internationalberry business. The Berry International horticultural team supportsthe horticultural requirements of our berry growing operations in Australia,China and Morocco, as well as our global network of licensed growers of ourproprietary blueberry varieties.
THEROLE:
The HorticulturalManager will possess exceptional communication and influencing skills and willbe required to implement leading edge horticultural knowledge and techniqueswhich will be deployed internationally on farm, in various cultural andgeographical environments.
Key capabilitiesof the role:
1. Provide technical support and delivery ofagronomic and horticultural programs to support Costa International growers’success
2. Promote integration of preharvest(horticulture) and post-harvest management to ensure high performance isrealised with respect to yield and quality outcomes.
3. Adopts a high-performance mindset towardsresearch and development which will be a driver for continuous improvement ofhorticultural processes and performance.
4. Effective support of knowledge transfer to ourgrower base, and strong participation in training programs to facilitateimproved horticultural performance over time
5. Manage positive relationships with partners,customers, and stakeholders
ABOUTYOU:
The successfulcandidate needs to be able to demonstrate high levels of commitment andperformance and will have;
6. Tertiary training in horticulturefield/discipline or a closely related field is essential
7. Postgraduate or extensive experience withinthe industry is highly valued.
8. Global mindset with the ability to adapt todifferent cultures
