About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to support commissioning activities on a key project over three months. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with solid commissioning experience in mining or heavy industrial environments.
8/6 roster
$85-95/hr depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Commissioning and fault-finding of but not limited to:
* Weightometers
* Metal detectors
* Radar level transmitters
* Microwave sensors
* Ultrasonic level sensors
* Flow meters (various types)
* Conduct I/O checks, calibrations, and integration with control systems
* Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
* Maintain accurate commissioning records and reports
* Work safely and collaboratively with the broader site team
What We’re Looking For:
* Trade-qualified Instrumentation/Electrical Technician
* Proven experience in commissioning industrial instrumentation
* Strong understanding of field devices and industrial protocols
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
* Able to work under minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
* Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
* Able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen
Desirable:
Rio Tinto inducted (advantageous, not essential)
